I went for the now regular monthly appointment anticipating the results of the blood tests that were being carried out with the prospective German donor.

Unfortunately those results weren't ready. The visit therefore felt like a bit of a waste of time. I was preparing myself for some news (hopefully good), but came away none-the-wiser. That's the worst thing at the moment. It feels like being kept in the dark about the latest developments, but in reality the tests simply take a long time. Having said that I thought that after nearly 6 weeks there would be some information.

Other than the frustration of no donor news, the blood levels were looking good (see below). I'm feeling great having got back to regular fitness with the swimming, and will have to wait until the end of April before finding out about the donor's compatibility.
